The advantage of metal profile sheets in comparison to sandwich panels is that they are cheaper because of the single skin. Sandwich panels on the other hand have a double skin with an insulating layer in between.
Also metal profile sheets are more easily replaced then sandwich panels. Metal profile sheets are commonly used with large warehouses, barns etc.

Colour differences
